# FatooraAE documentation

UAE e-invoicing (EIS) for WooCommerce.

## Before you start

- •WordPress 6.0 or newer, WooCommerce 7.0 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer
- •A UAE tax registration number for your business
- •An accredited service provider account when the mandate reaches you — the UAE requires invoices to travel through one

## What it does not do

- —It does not transmit invoices to the tax authority. The UAE mandate routes them through an accredited service provider on the Peppol network — this prepares the file, your provider sends it.
- —It does not tell you which phase you fall into or when your date is. That is a question for your accountant.
- —It is not the Saudi regime. ZATCA clearance, signing and the hash chain are FatooraPro.

## What is in the download

A WordPress plugin ZIP that generates UAE EIS-format invoices from WooCommerce orders, with Peppol-ready structured output alongside the human-readable document.
GPL source, HPOS-compatible, and no external service: the invoice is built on your own server.

## Installing it

WooCommerce first, then Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, activate, and paste the licence key from your purchase email.
Enter your own TRN before generating anything. An invoice with a missing or wrong tax registration number is not a formatting problem you can fix later in bulk.

## Before your phase begins

Capture buyer TRNs at checkout for business customers. Retrofitting them onto historical orders is far harder than asking for them at the time.
Generate a handful of invoices and show them to whoever files your returns, well before your mandate date. The format being correct and the content being correct are two different tests, and only one of them is the plugin’s job.
Talk to your accredited service provider early about what they expect to receive. Providers differ in how they want the file delivered, and that conversation is the part with a lead time.

## Licence, updates and support

- One licence covers 1 WordPress site.
- 1 year of updates, from the date of purchase.
- 1 year of email support.
- Instant download + licence key by email
- 30-day money-back guarantee

## Common questions

### Does this send invoices to the tax authority for me?

No, and no plugin honestly can. The UAE mandate routes invoices through an accredited service provider on the Peppol network. FatooraAE prepares the invoice in the required format on your own server; your provider transmits it.

### When does the mandate actually apply to me?

It arrives in phases, and the phase you fall into depends on your business. Check with your accountant — this plugin is here so that the format is ready before your date, not to tell you what your date is.

### Are the invoices bilingual?

Arabic and English, which is what customers in the UAE expect regardless of what the mandate requires.

### Does it handle credit notes?

Yes. A refund that is not documented as a credit note is the most common gap in an otherwise compliant setup.

### How is this different from FatooraPro?

Different country and a different regime. FatooraPro is Saudi ZATCA Phase 2, with clearance, signing and a hash chain. This is the UAE EIS format and Peppol output. Buying one does not give you the other.
