## Before you start

- •WordPress 6.0 or newer, WooCommerce 7.0 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer
- •Products in WooCommerce already — RentFlow makes existing products rentable rather than holding a separate catalogue
- •A payment gateway that can take a deposit, if you intend to collect one

## What it does not do

- —It does not sync with an external calendar such as Google Calendar or iCal. Availability lives in WooCommerce.
- —It does not plan delivery, collection or courier routes. It knows the dates, not the van.
- —It does not track damage, insurance claims or condition reports.
- —It is not a subscription or membership plugin. A hire has a start and an end date.

## What is in the download

A WordPress plugin ZIP that extends WooCommerce rather than replacing part of it. Orders remain WooCommerce orders, so your existing reports, emails and gateways keep working.
GPL source, and HPOS-compatible.

## Installing it

WooCommerce first, with a checkout you have tested. Then Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin with the RentFlow ZIP, activate, and paste the licence key from your purchase email.
Existing products are untouched until you mark one as rentable, so installing it on a live shop changes nothing on its own.

## Setting up a hire

Set the per-day price, then the minimum and maximum hire length. The maximum matters more than people expect: without one, a single booking can take an item out of the fleet for a season.
Choose the buffer honestly. If a camera needs a day back at the counter before it goes out again, a zero buffer will produce a booking you cannot honour, and that is a refund rather than a rental.
Decide about the deposit before you go live. Adding one later changes the price the customer sees at checkout, and people notice.

## Licence, updates and support

- One licence covers 1 WordPress site.
- 1 year of updates, from the date of purchase.
- 1 year of email support.
- Instant download + licence key by email
- 30-day money-back guarantee
Questions this page does not answer go to support@webkoding.com . If you bought from us and cannot find your licence key, look it up here .

## Common questions

### Can the same item be double-booked?

No. The date-range picker checks what is already booked before it accepts a range, and the buffer you set between hires is treated as unavailable too — so an item due back Friday is not offered for Friday morning.

### What is the buffer for?

Cleaning, checking over, or transport. It is the gap between a hire coming back and the same item going out again, and it is the difference between a rental system and a calendar.

### Can I take a deposit?

Yes, a refundable deposit collected at checkout through your ordinary WooCommerce gateway. Refunding it is a normal WooCommerce refund.

### Do I need a separate catalogue for rentals?

No — that is the main design decision. Any WooCommerce product becomes rentable, so the product you already sell photos of is the product you hire out.

### Can I see what is out and when it is due back?

There is a rentals list with dates and status, and it exports to CSV. That list is usually what somebody prints on a Monday morning.
