A development sells from a plan long before anyone can walk around it, and the plan is almost always a flat image with a phone number underneath it. An interactive floor plan or site plan for WordPress — clickable units, live availability, enquiry capture — is what that image should have been.
FloorMap makes each unit clickable. A visitor sees which flats are still available, clicks one, and asks about it — and the enquiry lands in a pipeline you can actually work, rather than in an inbox.

## What it does

- ✓Clickable units on any floor or site plan — drawn as rectangles or polygons in the admin, no coordinates, no code
- ✓Hover or tap a unit to see its name, price, floor area, bedrooms, floor and status; works with touch on phones
- ✓Unit status: available, reserved, sold, coming soon
- ✓Type, floor area and bedrooms per unit
- ✓Filter bar: search, status, price range, rooms — plus shortlist and compare
- ✓Place a plan anywhere with the FloorMap block or the [floor_map id="…"] shortcode
- ✓Enquiry capture instead of a checkout — nothing is sold by accident
- ✓Pipeline: new, contacted, reserved, sold, closed
- ✓Export enquiries to CSV

## What you need

- •WordPress 6.0 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer
- •A site plan or floor plan image — PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG
- •No WooCommerce needed: FloorMap captures enquiries rather than taking payments

## Why this exists

- Selling units from a floor plan, without a portal6 min read

## What FloorMap does not do

- —It does not take payments or reservations. Property is not sold from a website checkout, so it captures the enquiry and stops there deliberately.
- —It is not a CRM. The pipeline covers new, contacted, reserved, sold and closed, and exports to CSV for whatever you actually run.
- —It does not draw the site plan. You supply the image.
- —It does not read the shapes out of an SVG. An SVG is a background like any other image; the units are drawn over it in the builder.
- —There is no floor switcher inside the map. Each floor or building is its own plan with its own block or shortcode; put them on one page or link between them.
- —It does not book exhibition stands — that is BoothMap — and it does not sell seats or tickets, which is SeatMap.

## Questions

Can somebody buy a flat through it? +
No, and that is deliberate. Property is not sold from a website checkout — FloorMap captures the enquiry so nothing is committed by accident, and your sales team takes it from there. Does it need WooCommerce? +
No. There is no cart and no payment, so plain WordPress is enough. How do buyers know what is still available? +
Each unit carries a status — available, reserved, sold or coming soon — and the plan renders it. Updating one unit updates the public plan immediately. Can I work the enquiries somewhere else? +
Yes. Enquiries move through a pipeline of new, contacted, reserved, sold and closed, and the whole list exports to CSV for whatever CRM you actually use. Can one site hold several developments? +
Yes — each plan is separate, so a phase one and a phase two, or two different sites, can live on the same WordPress installation. How do I mark the units on my plan? +
In the builder, over the image: pick Rectangle or Polygon, draw the shape, and fill in the unit. A polygon is a series of clicks closed with a double-click or Enter; undo and redo are there, and the builder goes full screen for a dense plan. No coordinates and no code. An SVG works as the plan image, but its own paths are not turned into units — you still draw them. Does it work with several floors or buildings? +
One plan per floor or building, each placed with its own block or shortcode. There is no switcher inside the map itself; put the plans on one page in order, or link a building page to each floor. Every unit also carries a floor number, which shows in its details. Is there a limit on units or plans? +
No. One licence covers one site, with as many plans and as many units per plan as you need. Can visitors filter units by price or bedrooms? +
Yes. A filter bar sits above the plan — search, status, minimum and maximum price, and rooms — and units outside the filter fade out on the plan rather than disappear, so the layout still makes sense. Visitors can also shortlist units and compare them side by side. I need bookings for exhibition stands, or to sell seats. Is this the plugin? +
No. FloorMap captures enquiries for units nobody buys at a checkout. Stands with a booking and payment are BoothMap; seats, tables and tickets are Seat & Space Reservation Map. BoothMap, for exhibition stands.
Everything else is in the FloorMap documentation , and anything it does not answer goes to support@webkoding.com .
