Voxtrunk answers real calls in under a second, holds a conversation, books appointments against a diary and writes a transcript the moment the call ends. It is built for agencies and telecom resellers who want to sell phone reception as a service.
Every comparable product ties you to one carrier and one speech vendor. This one speaks plain SIP, so it registers to any trunk on earth, and runs on Asterisk — which is what FreePBX, Issabel and Yeastar are underneath. Speech-to-text, language model and voice are three separate dropdowns.

- 1Install it on your serverNode, Asterisk 18 and PostgreSQL on an Ubuntu server of yours.
- 2Register to your trunkPlain SIP, so it registers to any carrier — FreePBX, Issabel and Yeastar are Asterisk underneath.
- 3Choose the three providersSpeech-to-text, language model and voice are three separate dropdowns, on your own accounts.

## What it does

- ✓Registers to any SIP trunk — bring your own carrier, no vendor lock-in
- ✓Sub-second answer with barge-in, measured on a real Asterisk call
- ✓Swappable providers for speech-to-text, language model and voice
- ✓Two applications in one: an operator console and a customer portal
- ✓Appointment booking against a real diary, plus transcripts per call
- ✓One-time purchase, self-hosted — no per-minute cut and no phone-home

## What you need

- •An Ubuntu server of your own with Node.js, Asterisk 18 and PostgreSQL
- •A SIP trunk from any carrier — bring your own; there is no lock-in and no bundled minutes
- •Your own accounts for speech-to-text, a language model and a voice, billed to you at their prices
- •Someone comfortable with Asterisk. This is telephony, and telephony is not a plugin install
Installs once on an Ubuntu server of yours. The SIP trunk and the speech, language and voice providers are your own accounts, billed to you directly at their prices — we take no cut and never see your usage.

## What Voxtrunk does not do

- —It does not come with a phone number, a SIP trunk or any minutes. You bring your own carrier — which is the point, and why there is no per-minute cut.
- —It does not include speech-to-text, language model or voice credit. Those are three accounts of yours, billed to you at their prices.
- —It is not a plugin install. This is Asterisk on a server, and telephony rewards somebody who has done it before.
- —It does not guarantee what the model says on a call. The transcript is there so you can read what it did.

## Questions

Which carrier do I have to use? +
Any. It speaks plain SIP and registers to any trunk on earth, which is the difference from every hosted equivalent — those tie you to one carrier and one speech vendor and take a cut of the minutes. Do you take a per-minute cut? +
No. It is a one-time purchase, self-hosted, with no phone-home. Your carrier bills you for minutes and your speech, model and voice vendors bill you for usage — we see none of it. How fast does it answer? +
Sub-second, with barge-in, measured on a real Asterisk call rather than in a demo video. Latency is the entire experience on a phone call: a two-second pause reads as a dropped line. What can it actually do on a call? +
Hold a conversation, book appointments against a real diary, and write a transcript the moment the call ends. It ships as two applications: an operator console and a customer portal, which is what makes it sellable as a service. Can I resell this to my own clients? +
That is who it is built for — agencies and telecom resellers selling phone reception as a service. Check the licence terms for how many installations one key covers.
Everything else is in the Voxtrunk documentation , and anything it does not answer goes to support@webkoding.com .
