## How it is calculated

ROAS = revenue ÷ ad spend.
ACoS = ad spend ÷ revenue.
Profit after ads = revenue × gross margin − ad spend. A high ROAS on a thin margin can still lose money.

## Questions

### Is ROAS the same as ROI?

No. ROAS compares revenue to ad spend; ROI compares profit to the whole investment. A 4× ROAS with a 20% margin is a loss.

### Why does the platform’s ROAS differ from mine?

Attribution. Ad platforms count conversions within their own window and model the ones they cannot see. Your store counts orders. Use one source consistently.

### What ROAS do I need?

At least your break-even ROAS, which is 1 ÷ your margin after all per-order costs. The break-even ROAS calculator works it out.
