Before you start
- WordPress 6.0 or newer, WooCommerce 7.0 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer
- Order history in WooCommerce — the numbers are computed from your own orders, not from a feed
- Your cost of goods, which is the one figure WooCommerce never had and you will have to supply
What it does not do
- It is not accounting software and does not file anything. It answers what you made, not what you owe.
- It cannot know your cost of goods. That is the one number you have to enter; everything else is computed from your orders.
- It does not connect to your bank or your gateway's ledger. Fees are the ones you configure.
What is in the download
A WordPress plugin ZIP with the reporting screens and the cost fields it adds to products. No external service is involved and nothing is transmitted off your server.
GPL source, and HPOS-compatible.
Installing it
WooCommerce first. Then Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin with the WooFinance ZIP, activate, and paste the licence key from your purchase email.
Reports will be thin until costs are entered. That is expected: without cost of goods the plugin can only tell you what WooCommerce already told you.
Getting numbers you can trust
Enter cost of goods for your best sellers first. Twenty products usually account for most of the margin, and a partial cost list gives a usable answer far sooner than a complete one gives a perfect one.
Put in the real gateway fees, including the fixed per-transaction part. On small baskets the fixed fee is often a larger share of the margin than the percentage, and leaving it out flatters every low-value product.
Look at refunds as a cost, not as a subtraction from revenue. A refunded order that was picked, packed and shipped cost you money to lose, and the cash-flow view is where that becomes visible.

Common questions
Why not just read the WooCommerce reports?
Because they report revenue. Revenue is not profit, and the gap between them — cost of goods, gateway fees, refunds, shipping — is exactly where a store loses money without noticing.
Where does cost of goods come from?
From you. It is the one number no shop platform can infer, so you enter it per product; everything else is computed from orders you already have.
Does my sales data leave the server?
No. There is no external service and no account. The calculations run on your own installation, which for most shops is the whole reason to buy this rather than subscribe to something.
Does it work with historical orders?
Yes — it reads the order history you already have, so the first report is not empty. Costs entered today are applied as you set them; back-dating a cost change is a decision you make, not one it makes for you.
