eBay US fees on trading cards

Final value fee13.25% on the first $7,500, 2.35% above
Per-order fee$0.30 on orders of $10 or less, $0.40 above
International fee1.65%, waived with eBay International Shipping

How it is calculated

Sale total = price + shipping (and sales tax, which eBay also includes in the fee base).

Final value fee = 13.25% of the first $7,500 + 2.35% of anything above.

On a cheap single the $0.30 per-order fee matters most; on a high-value card the 2.35% tier does.

Questions

What does eBay charge on a card over $1,000?

13.25% on the whole sale up to $7,500. The lower 2.35% rate only applies to the part of a sale above $7,500.

Is it cheaper to sell cards in a lot?

Often, for low-value cards: one per-order fee instead of many, and one postage cost. The percentage fee is the same either way.

Does the fee include sales tax?

Yes. eBay calculates the final value fee on the total the buyer pays, including sales tax. Add it to the price for an exact figure.
