TikTok says lower rates are available to some sellers, including new ones, without publishing them. If your account has one, pick the closest rate or treat the result as the ceiling.

How it is calculated

Fee base = sale price + customer-paid shipping − the discount you fund.

Commission = fee base × rate.

Creator commission = (sale price − your discount) × the affiliate rate you set.

Profit = fee base − platform fee − creator commission − item cost − postage.

How much does TikTok Shop take in the UK?

9% of each order in most categories, including VAT, and 5% in electronics and some beauty categories. Creator commission, if a creator sold it, comes on top.

What affiliate commission should I offer creators?

Whatever leaves you a profit — set it here and watch the result. Higher rates attract more creators, but the commission comes out of the same margin as everything else.

Do fees apply to shipping?

Yes, when the customer pays for shipping it is part of the base the platform fee is calculated on. Shipping you offer free does not add to it.
